Description: |
Aspall have been making cider since 1728 and this is shown in their range of ciders. The Crisp Draught cider was created in 2003 to mark the 275th anniversary of cider making in Aspall. It pours golden in colour, with a reasonable foam. It has a very fresh green apple aroma, which leads into a fresh young apple taste. Very little complexity or hidden flavours, it finishes with a slight warming from the alcohol.
This is a good, light drinking cider that is refreshing, but lacks any depth to make it a ‘must try’. Note the traditional spelling of “cyder” on the label, marking the 275 years of cider making. |
