Description: |
The Blaxland Estate Shiraz is a smooth medium-bodied wine. Pouring ruby red in colour it has the aroma of soft dark fruits. Initial flavours of blackberries and a hint of spice are complemented by ripe tannins and subtle American oak from the casks it was fermented in. Not easy to drink on its own, it works well alongside fire cooked or grilled red meat.
Noted as one of the first settlers to plant grapes for wine growing purposes, Gregory Blaxland was the first person to export Australian wine to England in 1822. In just one year on shelf, Blaxland Estate has become a top 20 UK Australian wine brand, which is available exclusively at Tesco. |
