Fiano Sicilia 2011

Fiano Sicilia 2011

Region: Italy, Sicily
Grapes: Fiano
Description: The perfectly ripened Fiano grapes combine with crisp, citrus acidity of the region, to give the wine a lovely balance. Fresh and floral with touches of honey, Fiano is perfect lightly chilled as an aperitif, which gives a certain clean edginess to the flavours.
Price: £15.99
ABV: 13.5%
Closure: Cork
Source: Tesco
Occasion: As an Aperitif, Seafood
Comments: The grapes for Fiano are picked by hand in mid September and are carefully selected. This is not surprising as it is made under the overview of Diego Planeta, who makes some of the best champagnes in Sicily, if not the world. His name is on the bottle which guarantees its quality. There is very little not to like about this white.
