Friuli Grave Chardonnay 2001

Friuli Chardonnay 2001

Region: Italy
Grapes: Chardonnay
Description: The initial aroma is a heady mix of honey and straw, bordering on a mead. The very dark golden colour gives up more of the sweet honey flavour, and fills the mouth with a rich and full rounded flavour. A long tail of honey and meadow grass lingers at the swallow.
The 2001 is much more golden and honeyed than the lighter 2004 which is also in the stores at the moment. Both are worth trying and comparing.
Price: £9.95
Source: Waitrose
Occasion: Guinnea Fowl
