THE ONE-STOP-SHOP FOR THE MODERN MOUSTACHED MAN COMES TO SOHO
To celebrate this year’s Movember, world renowned potters Burleigh are launching their Burleigh Gentlemen’s Club Moustache Mug and donating 10% of the proceeds of sales to The Movember Foundation.
And for one week only, Burleigh will launch the Burleigh Gentlemen’s Club pop-up on Soho’s Greek Street from 17th – 21st Movember, selling Burleigh Gentlemen’s Club Moustache Mugs.
Whilst there, you can also emphasise your new tache with a wet shave from their in-house barber. Then head over to our in-house photographer to record your new look. And why not get the full Gentleman’s experience and get your shoes shined too?
These ‘Moustache Mugs’ used to be the secret weapon of the Edwardian man who didn’t let a cup of tea dampen his bristles or a cheeky beer droop his ‘tache. These clever cups had a special ‘guard’ to stop liquid dampening a man’s ambition. Burleigh’s skilled craftsmen have taken this Edwardian classic and reinvented it for the modern Gentleman. Transforming the plain ‘guard’ into a quirky ‘moustache’, this clever piece of clay will help to protect a Gentleman’s whiskers from a drenching with tea, coffee or his favourite snifter! So no more latte froth, no more damp kisses.
Burleigh has been perfecting its craft for over 160 years. Established in Stoke on Trent in 1851 and world famous for its blue and white ceramics which are hand made in England using traditional techniques. Its bestselling ‘Asiatic Pheasants’ design has been loved by generations and has been made in the same way since 1862.
Burleigh is the choice of some of world leading retailers and restaurants including Fortnum and Mason, Harrods, Liberty, Chiltern Fire House, Ralph Lauren (Paris), Soho House group, Heals and online at burleigh.co.uk
Burleigh is the only pottery in the world to decorate using tissue transfer printing from hand engraved copper plates. This 250 year old process takes seven years to master and is just one of many skills that caused HRH The Prince of Wales to step in to save Burleigh’s historic home, Middleport Pottery, in 2011.
All proceeds from the pop-up services will go to The Movember Foundation, the global charity raising funds and awareness for men’s health.
The Burleigh Gentlemen’s Club Moustache Mug retails at £25 and is presented in a distinctive Burleigh gift box. It will also be available to purchase at www.burleigh.co.uk
