Description: | This is an easily affordable entry level example of the classic Spanish wine, matured in oak for a minimum of 12 months and then in the bottle. It is a highly fragrant wine, with blackberry fruits dominating. The exceptional darkness of the wine hides the fact that it is a very smooth and mellowed body, again full of blackberry and forest leaf tastes that linger. |

Comments: | The Tempranillo grape thrives in the stony vineyards of Valdepeñas and it makes ripe, mellow wines. This wine is full of fruit, more like a Ribena than a wine if not drunk with a dark red meat. It is a very reasonable price, but needs to be allowed to breathe for at least an hour if you want the taste to rise above its price. If you put the effort into this wine it will reward you back. Each bottle is numbered, and comes in a wire wrapped bottle, giving it a 10/10 for presentation at the price. |
