Grapevine Merlot 2011

September 25, 2012 by Simon Narracott 1 Comment

Grapevine Merlot 2011 Description: Deep ruby in colour, there is a clear blackcurrant aroma. This is a very smooth wine, simple in taste of light blackcurrent and oak. It is remarkably uncomplex, yet has the roundness you might expect from a better wine. It is a perfect cheap drinking wine, or used as a ubiquitous red wine for meal times, just because you want wine with your meal. This wine is so cheap that you can forgive its shortcomings; and those shortcomings would be forgiven even if it was twice the price.

Its lightness makes it suitable for drinking on its own, at a party say, or alongside hams or stews, so it is a very versatile wine.

Again, for £2.99 this wine is amazing, and could easily pass for a wine four times the price. It is eminently drinkable, not just for parties but also with a meal and friends.

My husband and myself love this wine. It is as good as many Merlot, s double the price.

We would love to be able to order it on line.

Any help on how to do the ordering please would be a help.

Also my husband is 74 this year and I will be 71. Our birthdays are on the same day and it is also our Golden

    Wedding in October.
