Description: |
Hook Norton Brewery Twelve Days Strong Dark and Rich Beer is exactly what is say it is. Pouring a deep brown, with a delicate fine foam that clings to the glass, it has the aroma malt, hops, hazelnuts and chocolate. In the mouth, very smooth and full of barley, malt and chocolate flavours. Enough carbonation to maintain a slight tingle within the taste, but it is always the flavour that comes through. Towards the finish nutty notes appear, with the dry chocolate remaining crisp on the edges right to the finish. Long lingering malt and treacle tastes make this a very satisfying, and filling, beer.
Hook Norton Brewery still use a lot of manual processes, making sure that every beer is produced to its best. Every day of the year, the beers are ‘roused’ by stirring the vats with a large paddle by hand. This attention to process and detail is what makes Hook Norton Brewery beers so good. |
