Las Primas Gran Familia Tempranillo Rose 2011

Region: Spain, Castilla region
Grapes: 100% Castilla
Description: This rose is a complete suprise and offers far more than its price and appearence indicate. Coming from grapes grown in the historic vineyards of Spains Castilla regiona region you would expect a full bodied taste. Blending for this rose makes a lighter fruity soft wine with delicate berry and plum flavours, very delicate on the nose and smooth in the body. It is best served chilled which gives it a crisp opening, and can be drunk on its own or with light food. With your eyes closed this could almost be considered a still cava such is the fineness of the wine.
Each bottle is individually numbered, and could easily be sold at multiples of its current price.
Price: £7.99
Source: Tesco
Occasion: Chilled as an aperitif, outdoors, picnic, cold chicken
Comments: A real suprise, this is one of the best budget wines I have tasted this year.
