Very light in colour with a full floral aroma that pleases. A smooth flowing taste of citrus and wild flowers, crisp, yet it has a delicate spice hint to it leading to a nice dry finish. Medium bodied, this wine really needs to be taken with food for the flavour to be revealed.
It is hard to believe this is only £4.99; it easily outperforms wines twice its price, and is much better than most restaurant wine.
This Mâcon-Villages Chardonnay 2011 is part of The Aldi Core range, so it will be available all year round. Which is good as you will come back for another bottle, or two.
