Olympian Victoria Pendleton launches the nationwide One Great Day at fashion destination St Christopher’s Place for Great Ormond Street Hospital children’s charity
- The ultimate secret fashion destination St Christopher’s Place is located just off Oxford Street and next door to Selfridges
- The area boasts an eclectic mix of boutique stores, high street brands, and is the spiritual home of both Mulberry and Whistles
- The 4th of June will see the area host the national ‘One Great Day’ charity fundraising initiative in support of Great Ormond Street children’s hospital
- To celebrate, there is a full day of fundraising events planned, including:
- Victoria Pendleton will launch a Cyclathon, which will see over 40 teams of more than 120 local workers take part in a race covering the distance from St Christopher’s Place to Great Ormond Street Hospital
- The Piazza and nearby James Street will be traffic free for the first time ever, bringing together style and fundraising
- Resident cafes, bars and restaurants including Costa, Starbucks and Apostrophe will be taking part in a fundraising “Coffee Morning” between 10-11am, with all donations going to the ‘One Great Day’ charity fund
- A charity raffle and live auction, giving shoppers and local workers the chance to bid for exclusive luxury prizes and experiences including a weekend stay at one of St Christopher’s Place apartments
- St Christopher’s Place will welcome the 18-piece ‘Any Swing Goes’ swing band, inviting shoppers and local workers to enjoy complimentary food samples from resident restaurants
It’s a great initiative for a great cause, and it’s a nationwide campaign, with various locations around the UK getting involved – St Christopher’s Place is the central UK hub for all the UK activity.
