Description: |
On opening you get the aroma of fresh apples with a vanilla earthiness too. This is a still cider so pours a deep gold colour but without a head. The taste is of fresh apples and vanilla – surprisingly fresh tasting for a vintage cider. It is a medium bodied cider that has sufficient complexity to be drunk and savored on its own. At the finish the apple taste gives way to more earth notes and a slight dryness.
The Perry’s vintage ciders are specially pressed from the best apples of the 2009 autumn harvest, and then matured for at least 12 months in vintage port and sherry barrels to fully develop the ciders unique character and flavour. This aging produces a still full bodied and yet balanced medium cider. Serve chilled and enjoy with cold food or simply by itself. |
