Region: | France, Burgundy |
Grapes: | Chardonnay |
Description: | This is a full bodied dry white that fully displays the excellence you can expect from the Meursailt region of Burgundy. The low–yielding vines produce fruit with great concentration which is fermented and matured in selected oak barrels. This gives the wine an aroma of summer hay and vines, followed by a substantial body with a characteristic buttery, nutty complexity. A lingering smoothness fades away without any break down of the complexity of flavours. A superb white. |

Comments: | This is a wine by Louis Jadot, made with some of the finest vines in Mersault. The purity of the fruit absorbs the vanillin from the oak barrels to produce a rich and elegant white Burgundy. This is definitely one to try with a good meal as its flavour is further enhanced alongside good seafood. |
