Light lemon in colour, this wine has a strong wood and oak aroma that fills the nose. It has a full bodied, complex mix of citrus, cedar wood and vine leaves, and has a slight zing in it that uplifts through the taste. A nice clean finish at the swallow makes this an interesting and a pleasant drink. It is typical of the southern Côte de Beaune region which makes sweeter and more fragrent wine.
Not really best for drinking on its own, it pairs nicely with cold food or light pasta, which lets to complexity reveal itself.
This is part of The Aldi Super Premium Christmas range, so I would get one when you can. It will not disappoint.
