Description: |
Plum on nose. Has strong, rich, intense black fruits aroma such as blackberry with hint of coffee and tobacco. It has raw and dry tannin that needs some time of decanting. Drinking feeling is not smooth and best paired with red meat, to let some of the coarseness develop. Finished dry, but balanced, round oak tannins, some blueberry and faint white smoke. The glass was constantly evolving with each sip.
This wine was in Wine Spectators to 100 wines of 2010, and it would be in mine. It is fully of complexity and develops as it breathes, making it seem a much bigger taste than a bottle can hold. |
