Description: |
Stella Artois Belgium Recipe Cidre is made from hand picked apples to a Belgium cider recipe. It pours a very golden colour, with a course foam that fades to reveal a continuous stream of bubbles in the glass. It has a slight aroma of summer apples, and tastes initially very light on the tongue. It remains full of bubbles in the mouth which continues to lighten the taste, there being a consistent flavour of apples but none of the additional apple hints you get with more specialised bottled ciders. The finish is very clean.
This is a good pub cider, where buying on the Stella Artois brand will ensure you get an easy to drink cider that doesn’t challenge or offend you; but it won’t excite you either. Stella Artois clearly feel that that were missing a sales opportunity, as lager sales have fallen and cider sales are rising. This cider sits above the 2 litre bottle varieties that are out there but is a bit disappointing in taste when compared to other bottle ciders at the same price. However, if you like mild cider, sweet and clean, then this Stella Artois Belgium Recipe Cidre may just be what you need. |
