TsingTao Beer

September 5, 2012 by Simon Narracott Leave a Comment

TsingTao Beer Description: Tsingtao has been brewed in Qingdao, China since 1903, using the same formula and the fresh mineral waters from the Laoshan Mountain. Tsingtao Beer has enjoyed impressive sales growth and has always been the number one beer in China. Introduced to the United States in 1972, Tsingtao is the top-selling Chinese beer in the US market.
Tsingtao is the number one Chinese beer in China, but being such a mainstream beer it lacks a certain style that would make it memorable. It is much more a regular drink rather than a special, and as such can go with almost any meal, or on its own. Very light lemon in colour, it has a smooth, uncomplicated taste, with a short but satisfying finish. There is a slight hint of hops which makes it pleasing rather than dull.
