Asahi Super Dry

September 5, 2012 by Simon Narracott Leave a Comment

Asahi Super Dry Description: Japans number one export beer, Asahi Super Dry is not a bland “cover-all”, but presents a crisp and refreshing, uncomplex taste. Very light gold in colour, it pours with a very fine foamy head that lasts. The taste is smooth and consistent as you would expect from a rice based beer. Asahi Super Dry beer goes well with fish, vegetable and any sweet dishes, but you may want a heavier more bodied beer if you are having a meat dish.

Asahi is aimed at the more affluent end of the market, similar to Stella Artois. However this is often the reason most resellers only list the “Super Dry” rather than the full Asahi range, which is a shame.

Asahi means “rising sun” in Japanese.
