Aspall Classic Organic Suffolk Cider

September 21, 2012 by Simon Narracott Leave a Comment

Aspall Classic Organic Suffolk Cider Description: Aspall have been making cider since 1728 and this is shown in their range of ciders. The Organic Classic is their base cider, described as strong and robust – which actually doesn’t really do credit to the brew. It pours a nice golden apple colour, with a light foam of lively bubbles and has the soft but obvious scent of fresh apples. The taste is light and refreshing, and basically appley. However, the bubbles quickly disappear, but the taste does not go flat, and it adds an extra zing and depth to the finish. Without the bubbles distracting this becomes a very smooth taste, almost like an apple sherry; and oh so easy to drink. Pour it and leave if for 5 minutes and the taste is amazing. This is a good, light drinking cider that makes you come back for more. Just be patient when its poured.

Note the traditional spelling of “cyder” on the label, marking the 275 years of cider making.
