Description: |
Richly mahogany in colour, this Brooklyn Brown Ale is richer and hoppier than the milder UK Brown Ales. It has distinctive chocolate and burnt coffee flavours punctuated with a roasty malt background, along with the smooth aroma of dry chocolate and coffee. Reasonably heavy to drink alone, and much more a sipping beer, this Brooklyn Brown Ale remains refreshing and interesting, especially if you like coffee taste (which I do).
The Brooklyn Brewery has a range of beers; the Brooklyn Lager is its first and top selling lager, which bodes well for the others as this lager is certainly not the dull taste of mass produced American beer. I look forward to sampling the others in the range, when I can find them, and reporting back. Note: There is the option to visit the Brewery on Saturday afternoons. Not easy if you are in the UK, but a must-do if you are in the NY area. |
