Description: |
The Brooklyn East India Pale Ale is a version of the sturdy ale made by the British brewer George Hodgson in the 1820’s to survive the long voyage frpm London, around the Cape of Good Hope to Calcutta, India. The Brooklyn East India Pale Ale is brewed from English malt and hops, giving it that unique freshness and flavour now loved around the world.
This Brooklyn East India Pale Ale is a good match for spicy Indian or Thai food, where its smooth refreshing mildness helps round out the spicy flavour of the oriental food. The Brooklyn Brewery has a range of beers; the Brooklyn Lager is its first and top selling lager, which bodes well for the others as this lager is certainly not the dull taste of mass produced American beer. I look forward to sampling the others in the range, when I can find them, and reporting back. Note: There is the option to visit the Brewery on Saturday afternoons. Not easy if you are in the UK, but a must-do if you are in the NY area. |
