Description: |
This beer, still made to an 1876 recipe, pours a light gold, with a steady medium foam. The slightest aroma of hops, leads to a steady taste of barley and hops, tempered with the rice elements that enhance the smoothness. It has no initial high or lingering taste, but is a good flavoured beer throughout the mouthful. I can certainly see this as a good session beer on a hot day. Do not serve this one over chilled as that tends to hide its delicate flavours.
The Estrella Brewery work with the local farmers in the Ebro basin region to obtain barley of the characteristics that make this beer unique and popular. As a side note, the back label on the bottle is printed in a weird font that makes it hard to read, so even before one beer, you may think your eyes are playing tricks on you! |
