Finding Fine Fettle Beer on tap in a good local pub, I just had to try it. It fills the glass with a fiery colour, superb fine foam head, and has the aroma of Orange and citrus. To the taste it is more orangey and citrus sharp than hoppy, giving it a quite bitter fruity taste. It has a somewhat thin body and much more of a watery taste than most beer drinkers might like for a session. Having said that, it is very much in the style of a bottled pale ale, and certainly wouldn’t leave you disappointed.
Fine Fettle Beer is brewed by Marstons Beer Company at the Park Brewery in Wolverhampton between 1 January until 31 January. They produce a range of seasonal beers, so you are sure to see different ones pop up from time to time. |
