Description: |
Made from hand-harvested Gamay grapes, this light red wine offers aromas of blackcurrant and blackberry on the nose. It is light scarlet in colour, and has the clarity and sparkle that you only get with Beaujolais Nouveau. This years harvest is full of fruit and softness with more silky smooth tannins on the palate. Duboeuf are masters at making Beaujolais Nouveau, and this years release lives up to expectations.
Every year on the 3rd Thursday of November, lovers of Beaujolais and French tradition celebrate the new harvest release of Beaujolais Nouveau. Young fresh and fruity, it is ideal to share with friends and family. Lightly chilled, it is delightfully easy to drink as an aperatif or with simpler meals such as roasts, casseroles, chilli con carne and cassoulet. Duboeuf produces more than 2,5 million cases of wine annually. The winery is almost single-handedly responsible for popularising the annual Beaujolais nouveau phenomenon, and has won awards for its wines. The wine labels are easily recognisable by their use of colourful flower images and the distinctive Duboeuf insignia. |
