Description: |
Lions Gate Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz 2012 pours a deep ruby red, and has the aroma of blackberries and mertles along with wood spices. In the mouth, the fruits explode, but slowly fade to reveal toasty vanilla oak hints of spice and subtle vanilla. The flavour lasts for ages and really needs time to appreciate its length. It has a very long, slowly fading finish, pleasant leaving you with an earthy dryness.
The grapes are selected from Vineyards from the Breedekloof Valley in the Western Cape of South Africa, so this wine is very much indicative of the region rather than of a specific vineyard. This wine is currently on special at Tesco’s for £5.99 which I feel is a fair price for it, rather the the advertised price of £8.49 |
