Marstons Owd Rodger Very Strong Country Ale

Marstons Owd Rodger Very Strong Country Bottle
Description: Marstons Owd Rodger Very Strong Country Ale pours a deep mahogany colour, with a dark fine foam head. Full of the aroma of chocolate and burnt malt, the first mouthful reinforces this. It is full of dark fruit, burnt hops and old spices, along with chocolate and treacle. It has a dry, bitter sweet finish that lingers just long enough for the flavours to fully develop.

Marstons Owd Rodger Very Strong Country Ale is brewed to a recipe that dates back 500 years. It is simply a mix of malted barley, old English Aroma hops and well water. Sounds simple – maybe, but Marstons skill in brewing brings this out to be a 7.4% abv special brew.

It is a bit heavy to be a drinking ale, but as a sipping ale, or a beer matched with a dessert, this is an ideal drink.
