Description: |
Quilmes is Argentina’s favourite beer, and comes from the capital, Buenos Aires. It is a 4.9% lager style beer, slightyl stronger than most mass market beers, with a very distinguishable taste that is very well known to the South American community. It is made using the finest hops sourced from Patagonia, the most pure and remote part of South America, and it’s water is taken from the pure snow laid on the slopes of the Andes mountains. I is very light in colour, and refreshing to taste. The lightness of the barley and aroma of the hops mix well throughout the drink with a nice bright finish. It is best drunk cold, but not over chilled.
Quilmes Beer is brewed by Cervecería y maltería Quilmes, an Argentine Brewery founded in 1888 in Quilmes, Buenos Aires Province, by Otto Bemberg, a German immigrant. Since the 1920’s, Quilmes Beer has become something of a national symbol. It sponsors the Argentina national football team, and the colours of its labels are Argentina’s light blue and white. |
