Description: | Saint Premium British Lager pours a light gold colour with a full head of coarse foam that slowly disappears. It has an aroma of malt and corn cob, presumably from the maize. In the mouth the flavours of malt and corn mix with equal measure, and only a slight hint of hops at the finish. The carbonation doesn’t last and this lager almost tastes flat, and has none of the body you might expect for a lager at 4.6% abv.The bottle describes Saint Premium British Lager as “no sugar and low carbs”, but nothing on the bottle tells you how many calories are in it so it is hard to make any comment on it.
The bottle also has the tag line “brewed for easy drinking”. I am not sure what the makers have done to this lager but they have managed to make an alcoholic drink taste like a poor alcohol free lager. It is not easy to drink and is one to be avoided. |
