Description: |
With the aroma of summer apples, this pours a pure gold colour, with a good foam that doesn’t last. The first sip tells you that you have a vintage cider. It is full of oaked apple flavour, a dry apple start before moving to a sweeter bodied finish, yet maintaining that dry crispness throughout at the forefront of the taste. This is almost like mixing Cider with Brandy; and this Vintage Cider is really, really good.
The label says ‘Single Years Harvest’. This may make this vintage cider difficult to reproduce each year, but this 2011 is superb. Sheppy also have a range of other ciders which I look forward to trying. Serve cold at about 8c so that you do not hide the depth of oaked apples in this. |
