St Peters Ruby Red Ale

St Peters Ruby Red Ale Label
Description:

St Peters Ruby Red Ale pours chocolate and mahogany colour and with a good, fine dark foam head that lasts. A gentle, but definite hop aroma, along with chocolate and tobacco indicates that this is not your average ale, but nor is it a dark beer. To the taste, it is refreshing, with an initial citrus zest leading to hops and spices, a slight bitter sweet throughout. There is an underlying malt taste, but this is nicely overlayed by the sharp and vibrant Styrian Golding hops. The finish is smooth and leaves the lingering tastes oh hops, citrus flowers and light spices. This is definitely a sipping beer, and can easily be enjoyed with food or just on its own.

St Peters Brewery uses water pulled from an underground spring that has been used for making beer for 700 years.

The bottle is oval with the name “St Peters Brewery” molded into the bottle. It looks a bit like a vintage medicinal bottle, or glass hip flask but it is actually a copy of a 1770 specially made beer bottle. Check out their website to find out more.
