If you know me then you know that I love a good Vodka Martini; and I have to say they are very rare to find. So I was very pleasantly surprised when I ordered one on the patio Brasserie of The Tower Hotel. The drink arrived cold, not frozen like some, with two stuffed olives on a plastic stick so short it was below the surface of the drink. One sip however was enough to let me know that this was a perfect mix. It turns out the the stuffed olives that had been marinated in vodka. This left the Vodka Martini to have its smooth dry taste without being spoilt by any juice the olives may have been in which is all too common.
The drink mix was perfect, but was let down by a rather chunky lipped glass. I prefer a finer edge to my glass to enjoy the sip, but know how easy these glasses break.
However the drink itself was one of the best I have tasted in London, so when it tastes this good you can almost forgive a low quality glass.
