Trinacria Rosso Sicilia 2011

Trinacria Rosso Sicilia 2011 - Back

Description: Blended from ‘typical’ grapes of Sicily, this is a pleasant, easy to drink house red wine. A medium ruby red, it has very soft red berry aromas. It has a mix of redcurrant and passion fruit hints, quite sweet initially, but slowly grows to a more robust fruity finish. Letting this wine breathe, and getting up to full room temperature, makes is a much more rounded and less sweet taste, really bringing out its potential. Pour it into a glass and let it stand for a few minutes will double the perceived cost of this wine.

This is a 2011 bottle, but that is only stated on the label on the back of the bottle. As a blended wine with the same front label, you may fine different years mixed together on the shelves if someone has been a been a bit negligent. Look out for the 2010 if you can find it.

It is priced fairly for what it is.
