Vermetino Villa Solais

Region: Italy, Sardinia
Grapes: Regional
Description: This is Sardinia’s best known white, made from a regional grape which fills the nose with strong tropical fruits. The taste is of strong mango and pineapple which overwhelms almost every other taste. Even drunk alongside seafood or creamy burrata the power of this wine comes through. Described by a wine collegue as “Um Bongo in a wine” this bottle may well be too fruity without enough reward for most pallates.
Price: £9.95
Source: Great Western Wine
Occasion: Creamy food, Vegetable Lasagne
