Description: |
This Waitrose Herefordshire Cider 2011 Vintage is described as cloudy, still and dry, with hints of vanilla. It pours still, with only the slightest degree of cloudiness to it, and has the lovely aroma of summer apples and vanilla. In the mouth it explodes with crisp apple flavour, a bittersweet mix that smooths together to give a real volume of flavour that will not disappoint.
It has a clean, but slightly sweet apple finish, which fades away to a strong vanilla taste that lasts. The high 7% abv helps add to the nice warmth and smooth finish. This special Waitrose Herefordshire Cider 2011 Vintage is made for Waitrose by Westons Cider Mill in Much Marcle, Ledbury, Herefordshire. It is made form locally grown bittersweet apples, such as Dabinett and Michelin. It is cloudy by production, and still to allow the full flavour of the apples and vanilla to be appreciated. |
